Build a follow-up plan

Set up automatic text sequences that win back leads who went quiet.

A follow-up plan is a series of texts Catchdesk sends automatically after something happens, for example a lead who did not book. You decide the messages and the timing between them, and the plan stops the instant the customer responds. This is where most owners recover jobs they would have lost.

You set the wording and the wait before each message. A plan can have up to 20 steps.

  1. 1

    Open Follow-ups

In the web dashboard, open Automations, then the Follow-ups tab.

  2. 2

    Pick a plan

Choose what the plan responds to, for example a lead going quiet, a quote needing a reply, a customer due to rebook, or an appointment coming up.

  3. 3

    Add your messages and timing

Add each text and choose how long to wait before it sends, from 10 minutes up to 1 month. Use {{first_name}} to greet the customer by name.

  4. 4

    Turn the plan on

Flip the plan on. The summary at the top shows when it starts, how many texts it sends, and what makes it stop.

Notes

  • A plan stops automatically when the customer replies, books, opts out, or you message them yourself.
  • Start with two or three short messages. You can always add more once you see how customers respond.
